PaK 43/41 “Scheuntör”
The 88mm PaK was one of the most powerful weapons of the Second World War. The PaK 43/41 was a late war evolution of the classic 88 in its antitank role. The 88mm L71 canon was able to penetrate 130mm of steel at a distance of 2 km . 1402 of these PaK were built in 1944-45. Two guns of this type can still be seen in the Ardennes : the first 8 pictures are from the PaK situated in Heinerscheid; the others are from the one in Clervaux.
